ICS Co-Hire discusses gravitational wave detection and collaboration

Chad Hanna, a Penn State astrophysicist, ICS co-hired faculty, and member of the international research team that studies gravitational waves, reflected on the group’s achievements, “multi-messenger astronomy,” and the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) in an article titled “Listening to the Universe.” The LIGO Scientific Collaboration includes more than 1,000 researchers from various institutions across 15 countries.
