Account Set-Up

An ICS-ACI Account gives you secure access to our high-performance research cloud and computational software.

Request an Account: Penn State Researchers

To sign up for an ICS-ACI account, you will need:

  • a Penn State access ID and password
  • Duo, the Penn State two-factor identification system

Each person who wishes to use the ICS-ACI system must have an account and a Principal Investigator (PI), under whom they are authorized to perform research. Each user must sign up for an account (or renew their account).

Sign up for your account.

Request an Account: Non-Penn State Researchers

If you are not affiliated with Penn State but collaborate with a Penn State researcher, you will first need to obtain a SLIM account. Your collaborator at Penn State must request one from Identity Services at Penn State. Your collaborator’s college may be able to assist with the process and the contact for each college is listed below:

Here is a list of contacts for each college:

Two-Factor Authentication

Penn State uses Duo Security, a cloud-based, two-factor authentication service. If you are not already set up with Duo, please click here and follow the easy-to-use tutorials.

Need help enrolling or have problems with your Duo account? Contact the IT support desk for your college, or the IT Service Desk (814-865-4357 or itservicedesk@psu.edu).

If you are having trouble enrolling in Duo with an international phone number, please send a request to identity@psu.edu with the following information listed:

  • Your Access Account UserID
  • Your country code + phone number
  • Your smartphone OS platform (iOS, Android, etc)

This will automatically create a ticket in ServiceNow, and Identity Services will address your issue.
