Funding Opportunities

The Institute for CyberScience supports computational and data-enabled research at Penn State through strategic investments in research projects. These investments are made through:

  • The annual ICS Seed Grant Program—awards of $5 K – $25K to “seed” larger proposals (currently closed; winners of 2018 Seed Grant to be announced in March)
  • The annual ICS-ACI Explore Program, which provides compute allocations and data resources (currently closed)
  • Other one-time computational funding opportunities

All Penn State researchers are encouraged to apply. Depending on the opportunity, ICS Associates and Affiliates may be eligible for higher award amounts. See the RFPs for details.
