Commonwealth Campuses Research Collaboration Development Program

Penn State will offer 20 awards of up to $10,000 to support independent and collaborative research at its Commonwealth campuses. Faculty members can submit proposals requiring the use of Penn State’s shared facilities. There will be two information sessions held at the Behrend (Nov. 8) and Altoona (Nov. 29) campuses.

NHLBI Omics Phenotypes of Heart, Lung, and Blood Disorders

The National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute is funding research into common, complex disorders. There is a particular interest from NHLBI on studies focusing on sickle cell and other rare blood disorders. Research applicants from Institutions of higher education are encouraged to apply. NASA Rapid Response and Novel Research in Earth Science

This opportunity is seeking proposals pertaining to quick-response research on natural or anthropogenic extreme events and unanticipated or unpredictable events. Examples include major fires, volcanic eruptions, coral bleaching events and more. The research must require rapid, near-term data acquisition, field work, or other such research activities. The program also supports novel research in Earth remote sensing.
