Need more compute? Try the ICS-ACI Open Queue

Do you have computational jobs that are not time-sensitive? Need extra compute time? ICS-ACI users can now submit jobs to the ICS-ACI-b Open Queue.

No charge to your allocation

Open Queue jobs run using idle ICS-ACI cores, so they do not count against your allocation. These jobs have no guaranteed completion time and may be suspended if the cores become needed for other jobs.

How much can I use the Open Queue?

When using the Open Queue, you can have up to:

  • 100 jobs pending
  • 40 cores executing jobs at any given time
  • 36-hour job wall-times
  • 24-hour interactive session durations

For more information about the Open Queue, visit https://ics.psu.edu/advanced-cyberinfrastructure/access-models/open-queue/
