ICS-ACI Outage and Limited Capability Period

On Monday, May 8, all ICS infrastructure, including the legacy resources (the Lion clusters, CyberSTAR, BioSTAR, and storage), will experience an outage starting at 8:00 a.m. The legacy resources will be fully restored by 6:00 p.m. on May 8; ICS-ACI will be back up in a limited capacity by 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9.

In this limited capability period, the ACI-i interactive compute and high-memory cores will not be available. Access to basic compute, standard compute, and storage will be available during this time; users may experience longer queue times. ICS-ACI will return to full functionality on May 22.

Why is this occuring?

We are taking this action to move ICS-ACI hardware from Computer Building to the Tower Road Data Center. This migration will allow us to expand and improve ICS-ACI services, adding new cores, storage, and capabilities.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Derek Leydig at dml129@psu.edu.

Thank you for your patience during this transition. We are working hard to minimize downtime, and we look forward to the improvements that the migration will enable.
