CI-Tutor

Learn about High Performance Computing and CyberInfrastructure (CI), for free, at your own pace, at anytime, and from anywhere! CI-Tutor is hosted by the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and supported by the National Science Foundation’s Office of Cyberinfrastructure through the Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE) project.

Virtual School of Computational Science and Engineering

The VSCSE Summer School continues to be a popular choice for graduate students, post- doctoral students and professionals from academia, government and industry to gain the skills they need to leverage the power of cutting-edge computational resources.

XSEDE Workshops

XSEDE HPC Workshop: OpenMP (Jan. 9; 11 a.m.–5 p.m.; 223 Computer Building; register by Jan. 5)

This workshop is intended to give C and Fortran programmers a hands-on introduction to OpenMP programming. Attendees will leave with a working knowledge of how to write scalable codes using OpenMP. This event will be presented using the Wide Area Classroom(WAC) training platform. Register  by Jan. 5

Other Training Opportunities

Supercomputing in Plain English Workshops Spring 2018 (Tuesdays from Jan. 23-May 1; 1:30 p.m.; online)

The Supercomputing in Plain English (SiPE) free workshops focus on fundamental issues of high-performance computing as they relate to science and engineering. SiPE especially targets scientists and engineers, including a mixture of undergraduates, graduate students, postdocs, faculty, staff and professionals. Attendees should have 1 semester of programming experience and/or recent coursework in any of Fortan, C, C++, or Java. Read about past SiPE workshops. Register for the Spring 2018 workshops.
