ICS staff manage the ICS-ACI central facility infrastructure, including
- network monitoring
- help desk services
We use Solarwinds network monitoring software to monitor and manage all network components and interconnectivity. This software provides proactive alerts for the system on trends and real-time data for repairs or replacements.
User Support Services
ICS operates the i-ASK Center, which provides basic and advanced support for all users. ICS provides online support and training in conducting research on the ICS-ACI system.
In-person training sessions are also available. ICS also encourages research groups to request individual and group training sessions focused on their specific needs. For example, ICS can provide user support for software libraries, specialized applications, and programming languages.
All research data on our users’ Home, Work, and centralized Group file systems is backed up and archived daily. We use Oracle’s FS1 flash storage appliance and a SL8500 Tape Library for near-line and archival storage. Contact the i-ASK Center if you would like to retrieve files on storage.
